A young black stallion came into my life in the early 1990's.  Unknown to all of us, this stallion would change the direction of my life and breeding program forever.  I wasn't shopping for a stallion at the time, you could say, he found me instead. 

 From the first moment I laid eyes on him, it was like looking at a horse in miniature .  It was obvious,  this young stallion, lived his life like no one else was watching. He even acted like The Black Stallion as I watched him drag the driver off into the night, when he tried to unload him. This night would be my first experience, in a lifetime of Bobs, Its MY way or the hiway!!!    But.... when he did stop and looked up at me, he was so high headed he could look you right in the eye, not be staring at your knees.  Whether his legs were long or his barrel was tiny, he was streamlined and stretchy, he was a breath of fresh air.. a glimmer of hope that I may live to see a replica of a miniature horses, before I die!!

Looking Back...

   After starting  in miniature horses,  I realized, every decision I would make,  would come from  a "dream".  If I would have waited around until a sure thing came along.. I would still be sitting in the backyard waiting with many other breeders... I decided to take a risk, on BOB...  On a wing and a prayer, I started thinking of  a add campaign, even though I had never bred a mare to  him!!!  I first needed a gimmick.. he had no show record, no offspring.. the only plus he did have was a incredible PAST... I thought ... I could promote his past, hoping genetically   that he would pass his unique type on to his future babies... thus the motto was born.....THE PAST CREATES THE FUTURE....B.O.B. (abbreviation for Buck On Broadway).  Those words are all I put into the small add campaigns for the first years praying when the foals arrived we could back up our prediction..My game plan was to make the add readers wonder...  Who is BOB???

  The first baby hit the ground in 95.  It was a tiny black filly.  When she jumped to her feet it happened.. she looked me right in the eye just like her daddy.  I named her Buck Ons Victoria Secret, she became the 1995 National Champion Weanling filly..Two other black fillies were born that season, I named Dangerous Curves & Impressive Diva, I called them the Pointer Sisters, they also competed with Victoria that year.. they all placed top 5 in a class of 60 fillies.. I felt producing 3 of the top five fillies  definitely satisfied our prediction.... THE PAST CREATED THE FUTURE..  Our dream had come true.. just as we predicted.. Most important, we had another  baby born that year, that has had the strongest impact on our breeding program, this is Causin Comotion.  She was my soul sister.  We promoted her in the show ring to multi National Championships, her offspring have continued her success in the show ring. From Comotion's  line we will now continue our future breeding program, her past will create our future.

 Many years have passed since the Pointer Sisters, I do not remember a BOB baby that has not accomplished a National Champion, including halter and performance, National Supremes, National  Grands, and too many champions to count.  My only regret is not promoting more in the driving arena, because I do not know of a BOB baby that could not compete in harness.  They were born to drive.

 I have witnessed fadds come and go. I have not had to "change" my breeding program to compete in the show ring.. I figure the fads must have been following me! LOL  Bob daughters are now the top producers of todays champions!!!   You have heard me mention dreams, many times... because creating a horse in miniature was just that... a dream. Through out the years, living the dream has produced alot of sunshine and ya, lately its been raining.. but through it all, I have stayed true to my main man, and never lost site of my dreams and goals..We always will be grateful to our Buck On freinds and family that we have met along the way.  Your success is our success
