Thanks to Channel
Bradley.. our Buck On Family member from Country Charm
Miniatures, down under (NZ) , for presenting our horses
at the Nationals. You competed against some of the
most talented professional trainers in the US in
huge classes, and brought us home a NATIONAL TOP 10.
It wasnt just that you placed, it was who you place
above..LOL!!

This is the hugest success
story of all..

Meet Bravado, He
is the colt everyone is talking about that just "came
out of our woods" a few weeks before the
Nationals. He was awarded the Champion Yearling Futurity
Stallion presented by Robby Barth. Bravado, is a BOB son who was purchased
by Michelle Presley. The colt stayed with me in
Minnesota due to her moving situation. Michelle, his new owner,
had a vision to get him to Nationals for Futurity.
She was also optimistic for Open class but it was
already late August! Bravado was running wild in our
Woods with his brothers, I thought..no way..he doesnt lead, has no ground manners.. and he's
only been self condtioned by running the hills. I
predicted he would never be a halter horse.. Driving
would be his forte. He would have to qualify for open..
I thought.. this whole idea is crazy..(same way I would
do it, but crazy when its someone else's idea!) About the time I realized she may really be
serious about going to Nationals, .time was short..
I put up a catch pen and got to work.. I thought,
getting him out of the woods, was a good start, but
first I had to catch him. I didnt consider I also had to catch him in
the stall every day..to teach him to lead.. To
make matters worse, I found a ride for him to Robbys(STTC) in a
few days..so time was even shorter... Thank God,.. Bravado was actually very
interested and willing to please. I managed to get
him
track broke and off to Robbys for his first show.. I
just KNEW my prediction that he was NOT A HALTER HORSE, WOULD
COME BACK TO PROOVE ME WRONG... and well.. as you can
see, . THE REST IS
HISTORY!!!

One of
the many goals Rupert and I set this year, was to
present one of our foals at the World Show. In
past years, the committment to Nationals has prevented
us for attending both shows. I chose a
little pinto filly by Perfecta and our Bob daughter
Clue. I knew she was quite small for her class,
but predicted she has a big enough attitude to shine
above the rest. Again, we halter broke her
out in the field, took her from the pasture
to the show ring.. handed her off to my long time
friend, Mike ,who had never touched her.. stuck a show
halter on her for the first time.. and had to rely on
the quality of our breeding program to pull us
through. Once again.. as so many times in the past..
the confidence in our breeding program has proven
our success!!
